What is it?

A gearbox is a complex mechanical gadget that enables cars to operate at varying speeds on the road while maintaining an acceptable revolution range of the engine.

Where is it located?

The gearbox is behind the engine in which is it directly connected and underneath the car.

Indicators of faults:

Rough or jerky shifting.
Slipping.
Abnormal loud noises.
Delayed engagement.
Leaking fluid.

Common faults:

Low fluid levels.
Torque converter problems.
Solenoid problems.
Clutch problem.
