Fan Belt Common Faults and Replacement
What is it?
A belt that transmits motion from the driveshaft to the radiator fan and the dynamo or alternator.
Where is it located?
The fan belt is located near the radiator fan and is attached to a pulley or series of pulleys.
Indicators of faults:
Noise.
Slipping.
Pin holes in belt.
Common faults:
Incorrect tension.
Worn belt.
